Alexandra (Alex) Sizemore received her undergraduate from Texas Tech University and her Master of Liberal Arts degree from Southern Methodist University. She worked in the non-profit industry in various fundraising roles for more than twenty years and deeply values the philanthropic American spirit.
Inspired by her love for the Lord and the joy her sweet and silly dog, Sophie, brought over the years, the idea for her first Silly Sophie book emerged. In 2019, she published Silly Sophie’s Summer Sunday Morning which captures her love for God, Sophie, and all things Americana. She wrote and published her second book, Before You Were Born, in 2022 which was inspired by her pro-life work. Her hope is that all children know how deeply loved they are by God and desires to create books for parents to share edifying messages with their kids.
In addition to writing Silly Sophie, Alex has developed a passion for calligraphy. Her background in the non-profit industry helped cultivate a love for personalized details to make others feel appreciated and special. In early 2019, she launched her calligraphy business to help others add a personalized touch to invitations and special occasions and announcements.
